Airdrie GO Team
19 - 24 April
The town of Airdrie is part of by far the most densely populated area of Scotland meaning there are many, many people living in it who need to hear the good news about the death, resurrection, and future return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
The congregation is passionate about reaching out with this good news and are very thankful for those who give up their time in order to serve alongside them on GO Teams.
Each year the congregation runs a series of mission services: invitations are distributed throughout the town, and members make a big effort to invite their friends and family members to these services. God has graciously provided encouragements in previous years as a variety of people have come along to these services and had their lives changed by the hope-giving call of the gospel.
The team’s main task will be to help with giving out invitations to these mission services. The team may also help with the congregation’s youth work and will spend time encouraging the members who are always thrilled to meet GO Teams!
Recently the congregation has begun services and bible studies in Wishaw, another densely populated town in desperate need of the gospel. Those who go on the team will have an opportunity to see some of the encouraging first steps in this outreach as well.
